The owners’ impressive art collection played a major part in how NAD designed the interiors for the Lark Street Residence. Art served as the catalyst for the strong collaboration between Nazareno’s team and the owners, who were very deliberate about every single detail for each space, down to how the paintings in the second floor could be viewed from the spaces below. ‘It was a collaboration between the owners and myself, deciding on the size of the paintings, the framing of the paintings, and how we were going to light them.’ So, it’s inevitable for the noteworthy artworks to also serve as centerpieces for Nazareno’s reveal. Whether it’s an important painting tucked away in a alcove, or a sculpture seated in a vestibule, it’s almost like a hidden surprise at every corner that he enjoys incoprorating into the spaces. The Lark Street Residence now stands as a personal statement of who the owners are as a family, and a testament to NAD’s dedication to playfulness, innovation, and attention to detail.”
