This two-storey residence is located in a joined accessible three-lot compound. The existing trees inside the property were retained and developed to provide a relaxing entry to the house. This is capped off by a welcoming water feature located at the entry porch of the structure. To maximize the lush landscaping of the property, the house was provided with large fenestration that create vistas and easy access to the gardens. A surrounding balcony was also introduced on the second floor to further open the house to its environment. The balcony and fenestration were treated with wooden slats that can be controlled according to the user’s preference of natural ventilation and direct sunlight. The overall wooden look of the house is contrasted with sandstone walls.
